Our Process

The 4-step method we use on every job.

Most pest companies skip steps 3 and 4. That is why the problem keeps coming back. We don't move on until all four are complete.

  • 1. Inspect. Full perimeter, rooftop, attic, crawlspace, and yard. We find every active and potential entry point.
  • 2. Remove. Live trapping or targeted lethal control depending on the species, with humane handling and legal compliance.
  • 3. Sanitize. Droppings, urine, nesting material, and contaminated insulation. Cleaned, bagged, and deodorized.
  • 4. Seal & prevent. Heavy-duty hardware cloth, vent guards, sealants, and exclusion materials chosen for the species.

Warning signs

Most of our calls start the same way.

If any of these sound familiar, you're not imagining it. The longer rodents and wildlife are inside, the harder and more expensive the fix gets. Photos below are from real Bay Area jobs we've handled.

Yard damage

Patches of lawn dug up overnight

If you're waking up to fresh dirt clumps and torn grass like this, it's almost always skunks or raccoons hunting for grubs. Once they find a buffet, they come back nightly until something changes. We can trap them, then treat the lawn so they lose interest in returning.

Scratching at night

Sounds in the attic between dusk and dawn

Scratching, scurrying, or thumps overhead almost always mean rats, mice, or squirrels nesting up there. Mice are quieter and faster. Rats are heavier and slower. If you hear it for two nights in a row, it's not your imagination, and the only fix that lasts is removing them and sealing the way they got in.

Open entry points

Chewed-through screens, vents, or eaves

A vent like the one in this photo is a flashing welcome sign for rats. Once the screen is gone, every rat in the neighborhood knows about it within days. The fix is heavy galvanized hardware cloth fastened correctly. Not another flimsy screen the next rat can chew through.

Holes near foundation

Burrows under decks, sheds, or fences

A fresh tunnel running under your fence or alongside the foundation is usually a skunk, an opossum, or a ground squirrel. The longer they stay, the bigger the burrow gets, and you can end up with real foundation undermining or even a sprayed dog.

Smell that won't quit

Musky or sour smell that lingers indoors

Skunk under the porch is the obvious one. Less obvious: a slow ammonia smell from rat urine soaking into attic insulation, or a sweet rotting smell that means something died inside a wall. None of these go away on their own, and air freshener just hides them while they get worse.

Caught in the act

Animals on your roof, deck, or in the yard

Seeing a raccoon walking across your roof or an opossum on your back deck after sundown is not random. They're either denning nearby or actively scoping a way in. We'd rather get the call now than after they're inside the attic with a litter of babies.

Real Work

From the Bay Area homes we've worked on.

Real entry points, real cleanups, real wildlife. This is what most pest companies don't show you.

Know your pest

Not sure what's in your attic?

Roof rat or Norway rat. Skunk or opossum. Each one acts differently and needs a different fix. Browse our field guide to figure out what you're dealing with, then call us to handle it.

Meet the founder

The owner walks every job.

Armando started Cisneros Rodent & Wildlife Control in 2019 after watching too many of his neighbors get burned by the big pest companies. Surprise charges, half-finished jobs, and the same rats back in the attic two months later.

He runs the business with his family. He answers the phone himself, walks most of the inspections, and follows up after every job. When you call, you're either talking to him or to someone he personally trained.

"I do not subcontract, I do not pad the invoice, and I do not disappear after the first visit. The job is done when the problem is actually solved."— Armando, Owner

FAQs

Common questions, answered honestly.

How fast can you come out?
Same day in most of the Bay Area. We're open 6 AM to 10 PM every day, including weekends and holidays. For active wildlife in the home or strong odors, we prioritize and usually arrive within a few hours.
How much does rodent or wildlife removal cost?
It depends on the species, the size of the property, and how many entry points need sealing. We give you the full price upfront. Most rodent jobs fall in a predictable range, and we never start work without your approval. Phone estimates are free.
Why does my problem keep coming back after other companies?
Because trapping alone is not a solution. If the entry points aren't sealed, new animals fill the void within weeks. Our exclusion work (heavy mesh, vent guards, foundation seals) is what actually ends the cycle.
Do you handle dead animals in walls or under the house?
Yes. That's one of our most common emergency calls. We track down the source of the smell, remove the carcass, sanitize the area, and treat to kill the odor. Most calls are same-day.
Are your methods humane?
For wildlife (raccoons, skunks, opossums, squirrels), we use live trapping and humane handling whenever possible, in compliance with California Fish & Wildlife regulations. For rodent infestations, we use a combination of approved methods chosen for safety around children and pets.
Do you work with rentals, businesses, and HOAs?
Yes. We serve homeowners, landlords, property managers, restaurants, and commercial buildings throughout the Bay Area. We can coordinate with tenants and provide invoices for property records.
Do you provide cats / dogs removal or general pest control?
No. We specialize in rodents and wildlife (raccoons, skunks, opossums, squirrels). For stray cats or dogs, please call your local animal services. For ants, cockroaches, or bedbugs, we can refer you to a trusted partner.
Don't wait. They multiply.
